About
About Outbreak Signal
A calm, source-disciplined view of disease-outbreak intelligence for normal readers.
Mission
Outbreak Signal is a calm, source-disciplined view of disease-outbreak intelligence for normal readers. We aggregate verified updates from official public-health agencies (WHO, CDC, ECDC, PAHO, national ministries) and reputable secondary reporting. We label confidence on every claim and we do not invent numbers.
What we cover
- Disease-outbreak news from Tier 1 sources.
- Evergreen explainers — what terms mean, how the source-tier system works, how to read public-health bulletins.
- A focused hantavirus information hub at launch, with multi-disease coverage in later phases.
- A radar / dashboard preview that shows confirmed and reported signals visually, with a tabular fallback.
What we do not do
- Diagnosis or treatment advice. We are not a healthcare provider.
- Fearmongering, panic language, fake urgency, or invented case counts.
- Tracking, advertising, or third-party scripts. The site does not phone home about its visitors.
- Auto-publishing of medical content. Every claim that reaches readers is reviewed by a human.
