We are getting ready
Outbreak Signal is being built. The hantavirus hub, news index, and radar preview are wired up; the editor will fill the daily signal slot once the publish gate opens. Until then, no invented numbers.
We track disease outbreaks using only verified sources: WHO, CDC, ECDC, PAHO, and national public-health agencies. Every claim is cited. Read it in two minutes.
Sources we cite
No medical advice · No tracking, no ads · Every health claim cites its publisher

Disease hub
Hantavirus is a family of viruses spread mostly through contact with infected rodents or their droppings. Different hantaviruses cause different illnesses by region. Person-to-person spread is rare and is documented only for the Andes virus.

Refresh cadence is editorial, not live.
Editorial
News and explainers, every claim sourced. Sample posts only at this phase.
What this site will be, how it differs from other outbreak trackers, and the editorial guarantees we make from day one.
A short primer on the source-tier framework Outbreak Signal uses on every page, every chart, every social post.
An evergreen primer drawn from WHO and CDC definitions. No fearmongering, no fake spectrum from one to the other.
Trust model
We sort every source into three tiers.
Tier 1 — Official
WHO, CDC, ECDC, PAHO, national ministries. May stand alone as factual.
Tier 2 — Reputable
Major outlets, peer-reviewed journals, ProMED. Prefer Tier 1 corroboration.
Tier 3 — Unverified signal
Social, blogs, forums. Behind a toggle. Never stands alone.
